Holderness Academy is celebrating after securing a GOOD rating in its latest Ofsted inspection.
The Ofsted report praised the school’s high expectations for pupils and its well-designed, ambitious curriculum that helps students develop the knowledge and skills needed for future success.
Inspectors noted that students with SEND also have access to the same curriculum as their peers.
Teachers were commended for their strong subject knowledge and clear explanations, while the school was recognised for its welcoming and inclusive environment.
Head teacher Neal Holder said: “We are delighted that the report by Ofsted highlights the progress the school has made and the positive signs of impact. It comments on the high expectations staff have and the positive difference school leaders, governors and the wider trust are making. We are grateful for the valuable support we receive from our parents and the wider community as we continue our journey of improvement at Holderness Academy.”
Lizann Lowson, CEO at the Consortium Academy Trust, said: “I’m delighted the school has received well-deserved recognition for the positive progress made. Under the head teacher’s committed and values-led leadership, learners now benefit from a much-improved experience –
driven by high expectations, an inclusive culture, and a strong curriculum. This reflects the dedication of staff, the enthusiasm of learners, and the support of families and the trust. Together, we are building a school where young people truly thrive.”
